Our program is ideal for:
At Piano Therapy Plus, we recognize that every individual has their own strengths, challenges, and learning style. That’s why our ABA Piano Therapy program is fully personalized to meet each learner where they are.
We begin by getting to know the individual, understanding their behavior goals, skill levels, and personal interests.
Using evidence-based ABA strategies, we design sessions that combine therapeutic goals with piano instruction in a way that supports focus, communication, confidence, and emotional growth.
Whether the goal is improving attention, reducing anxiety, or learning to follow directions, we adjust our approach to ensure each person feels successful, motivated, and empowered—at the piano and beyond.
At Piano Therapy Plus, we believe that lasting progress happens when families are empowered and involved. That’s why our ABA Piano Therapy program includes individualized parent and caregiver training as a central part of our approach.
We recognize that raising a child with ADHD, autism, or other behavioral and developmental challenges comes with unique—and evolving—parenting demands.
Our training sessions are designed to meet families where they are, offering practical tools and strategies that are personalized to your child’s needs and your family’s daily life.
We guide parents in understanding their child’s behaviors. Parents learn how to support progress at home using techniques that encourage emotional regulation, communication, and cooperation. But beyond that, our goal is to strengthen the parent-child bond.
The behaviors we address during sessions often mirror those seen at home or in the community. Our ABA-Piano Therapy parent training gives caregivers a unique opportunity to see firsthand how our therapists respond to challenging behaviors, such as inattention, frustration, or avoidance.
Being able to observe how the therapist addresses behaviors in real time makes it easier for parents to apply the same techniques consistently at home. This consistency not only promotes meaningful skill development, but also strengthens the parent-child relationship.
The parent-child relationship significantly impacts a child's behavior. When parents learn how to respond to behaviors with confidence and compassion, they are not only shaping the target behavior, but more importantly, parents model for the child how to appropriately handle conflict.
Celebrating piano milestones together becomes more than just progress—it becomes an opportunity to strengthen connection, build trust, and nurture positive behavior in a joyful, supportive way.
Parent training is ongoing and flexible, evolving as your child grows and changes. Whether you're working on managing meltdowns, improving attention, or supporting emotional resilience, we’re here to help you feel confident, supported, and connected every step of the way.
For those who prefer to learn from the comfort of their own home, or for times when getting to the office is challenging, we offer online sessions.
Online sessions are available for Parent Training and for ABA-Piano Therapy, if appropriate for the learner.
If you are interested in virtual sessions please discuss this option with your therapist.
